If you answer either of those questions in the affirmative, you'll use it enough to more than justify the purchase price... I honestly have not seen anyone say "I regret this purchase" other than people who've had problems with shipping or had to RMA due to some manufacturing defect (of which there have unfortunately been a reasonable number, but it's not totally unexpected with something like this in first gen).
1. No. I don’t travel far, and when I do I’m driving.

2. Yes but I have a Switch and iPad with plenty of games already.

Would I use a Steam Deck? Sure but I’ve already spent a lot on gaming hardware in the last year, including two new GPUs at inflated prices. I’m thinking a new monitor should be my next upgrade and will likely be at least a grand.

$750 is a great price though…
