I agree with you on the outlook for him. He's developed quite nicely. But playing in the top 6 is hard for any player who hasn't played in the NHL before. Harder to check, harder to keep up and harder to score. He'll need his time to get up to NHL pace and smart coaches won't put him in a tough spot in the top 6 to do this.
They're not the same player and not the same position, but many here pencilled Valimaki into the 2nd pairing many moons ago too. We need to be more realistic with our prospects.
