Just look at the delta between BC and Alberta and how magically on April 1st the gap increased by roughly the amount of the gas tax. Where is your evidence it didn’t work?
Something else is going on in Alberta that is unrelated to the gas tax as if you look at Ontario their relief continued. So the last two weeks of Alberta vs ROC is interesting.

The relief lasted about 6 weeks at which point Alberta started to gallop to catch up. Now Jason is calling in the gatekeepers to check in on the free market. Of course they could not keep prices the same right after the public tax cut, need some time and space in-between.
