With that said, that's the only thing that is better there. Calgary's climate is much better than either of those cities. Our culture is also much nicer, as is the space, the affordability and the mountains nearby. Easy choice to live here.

Also depends on the stage of life you're in. I moved to Toronto 10 years ago, mid 20s, it was awesome from a lifestyle perspective vs Calgary, for a single guy. Now in my mid 30s, perspectives change and returning home to Calgary becomes a lot more appealing. The weather is virtually the same although the system in which Toronto has the roads cleaned is much better than Calgary, making it easier to commute.
