Yeah. I think the same thing sadly. He’s a good player to have for a solid four years as he creates his own plays. Having said this, the likelihood is after 34 or so most players decline sharply, then you have $10M contract on hand for another 3 or 4 more seasons. I’ve said it a million times that those 8 year contracts don’t work unless you’re the elite athlete and even then it’s very risky. For that reason while I’d like to see him on the Flames I would consider a deal for sure. Or the hope would be after a couple seasons he’s dealt too. Either way I’d hope his tenure isn’t beyond two years to maximize his return value.
