Toronto really doesn’t have an easy option. Kerfoot I guess but he had 51 points. Holl could go but sandin is an RFA so not sure if that gets them under without someone going on LTIR

I am kinda surprised that nobody is sniffing around Sandin as an offer sheet candidate. If you think he has any sort of ability, one year at 3.1 million would cost you a 2nd round pick and would definitely squeeze the Leafs. You would basically have him at that contract via qualifying offers until he either is good enough to get more or you cut him loose. Seems like a gamble some team might take in a free market.
