Huberdeau can stick his ass out and protect the puck. He doesn’t need to shape shift out of every possible contact situation.
Based on the highlights I’ve been watching, his edge work is exactly what you expect from an elite player.
He’s graceful, not plodding - we’ll have to see what his straight line speed is like, but that’s one of the least important elements of being a great hockey player, or even a great skater.
I come back to what Jagr told Treliving all the time “lots of guys get to the wrong places quickly. I go to the right places.”
