This added space from Lucic is needed next year if they want to sign Huberdeau. His 5.9M plus Lucic 5.25M is roughly the cost of extended Huberdeau plus a more appropriately priced 4th line forward. You dump Valimaki now to get a lower pick and space to do something this year only.
I'm not paying to move Lucic unless there is a real boost to the team that does not impact next year's cap. The space he creates next year is valuable too
