First off, they played on the same line and same pp unit and no pk so good chance that if they combined for 6 points that it resulted in closer to 3 goals for the team and not 6.
Best would be to subtract their goals ( 82 combined) and then add Huberdeau's (30) and now we are looking at at 52 goal difference and not 219!
After that you need to look at how Flames won most of their 50 games. Most of them were lobsided as they scored 103 goals more than they needed to so did we really need those 52 extra goals?
For entertainement sure but not to win the game as Flames hardly needed to outscore their problems last year.
As some have said D looks better than last year and maybe a few of our prospect will surprise or the wizard will present us with another surprise!
I for one feel much better this morning than yesterday morning.

That's way to big of a subtraction. Lindholm is still here and Huberdeau set a record for most assists by a LW. If you can find Huberdeau the right chemistry and get more out of Toffoli, Coleman, and even Monahan things are looking much better.
Plus the Flames have multiple potential mid six guys ready to step up from the AHL. The Heat led their division and were a top offensive team. There's definitely top talent to pump up the bottom six, which was a massive weak point for the Flames last year. It's a different playoffs of the Flames had even 1-2 of Pelletier, Zary, Phillips, etc.. In the lineup and putting up 40-50 points.
