Clearly, if the Flames want to pick up a 100-point player on the cheap, Brad Treliving needs to get on the phone and call 1988. They were growing on trees back then.

It's funny, before I posted the question, I thought of the Gretzky trade and looked it up. I figured since that one came to mind so quickly, there must have been other times it happened back in the 80s and 90s.
