I posted about this stuff before, through just playing average house league growing up I heard whispers of this stuff taking place in rep (not the unconscious stuff but guys going at it as a group). Even in university. I found it gross back then and even moreso now. This is a sports thing...I don't know why but it is, and it's really "normal" in hockey. I know some have in the past not wanted to brush all hockey players as the type, and certainly not all of them should be but I'd go so far as to say every single one is aware of this type of behaviour, and majority have taken part in it. It annoys me that people like Don Cherry have painted these guys as "good ol' Canadian boys" when this type of thing has been going on since time at many many levels. Alcohol goes hand in hand with this behaviour, and undoubtedly when it happens so many times where this risque behaviour happens, there will be more cases of people being out of it completely as is the case here. It's unfortunate that some of these women who probably couldn't consent, and probably married with kids and can't report what happened to them but I hope these guys get embarrassed thoroughly. What's the statute for things like this for prosecuting?
