Don't forget Mangiapane and Kjillington but yes they have a better cap position than most.
And Mangiapane could fetch as high as 7M if e signs for 7-8 years.
I think Kjillington certainly gets better than Valimaki's old 1.55 bridge, more like 2.5-2.75 bridge.
We have a few AHL grads but they still cost 750,000-950,000 depending so you need 3-3.5 just to round out the team for the year.
Still enviable if played right and next year Lucic's ticket comes off (if he still wants to play give him a Gio contract for 2 years!!! I'd keep the old codger around!))
Monahan is still ON the books just one more year and still on the Cap at Capfriendly right now. He may still be LTIR so there is that however he will likely play sometime sooner or later next year too.
They can also sign the new guys for whatever works as both Lucic and Monahan are off the books by then.
We did loose two great players but we get to Booo if we want! Myself this result is why we should at least tip the hat to chucky. He showed Gaudreau the right way to be fair.
Good group Sutter as coach and as Tampa and others have demonstrated get in and you have a chance to win and we should still get in.
