It's wishful thinking for people to expect them to pack it in just because they lost 2/3 of their top line. Especially when we don't even know who they will get back for Tkachuk.

They might be telling existing players they aren't rebuilding for a reason. If the plan is to rip it apart I could see a bunch of players calling Treliving and asking to be traded.
The decision to full rebuild probably happens next summer when they can talk contract with Lindholm. He's the key to avoiding a full rebuild IMO
Hanifin can re-sign next summer too.
