It's a good cautionary tale for what the Flames might get for Tchuck who is older, is a winger, and needing a new contact. Not sure how much the injury discounted Eichel at the time if at all, but normally he would be the higher value asset.
Turns out Buffalo did okay in the deal, but I think they hauled more than the Flames will get for Tkachuck.

You can really brush aside the injured part of Eichel like he had a sprained ankle. He had a neck injury and was going to have a surgery that had never been done on an NHL player before. Quite possible its a career limiting injury.
