The Rangers were able to sign two superstars for free. Doubt the Flames can do the same. The only thing we should copy from the Rangers rebuild is that they made a statement to their fans stating the plan they had. The Flames ownership/management should do the same. Any retool is a recipe for more of the same. Do a half arse rebuild and get half arse results.
