Supposedly it does have warranty, he gave me the receipt that shows it's from EVGA directly, and EVGA's website says the warranty is transferable, so that should be okay. Hopefully. I do wish I had something to test it with but as it stands I'm going to have to finish building this before I try it.
I'm re-examining what I think I need out of a CPU. I may be able to do this REAL cheap... trying to get a 5600x and a compatible motherboard for under $400 together, to go with my 2x16GB DDR4 3200 set at 65 bucks. Based on what I'm reading, there is really not much benefit in terms of frames at 1440p when you compare CPUs above that level.
Am I missing something? This would totally solve my DDR5 dilemma - if my current investment in the mobo / cpu / ram is low enough ($450 for all) it would pretty much completely eliminate any downside to just waiting and upgrading those components in ~2-3 years if necessary.
