Even the photos I posted earlier...it would make zero sense. You couldn't fake a view of the Earth without somehow re-creating what the Earth would look like from the moon, meaning you would have had to go to the moon.
It still blows my mind we went there with 1960's tech, but believing anything else requires vastly larger stretches of the imagination.
