Flames could do the 1st two things easily enough. It's the 3rd one where they probably end up getting boned.
They would be like Arizona in the McDavid/Eichel draft.

Or they'd be like Philly in the Hischier/Patrick draft. Leap frog a bunch of teams by winning the lottery and end up with Patrick while a team behind you gets Makar.

I think the top 3 picks in this draft are all safe and exceptional. That's pretty rare.
