Unless Tkachuk signs a one year deal, Flames retain 50% and Tkachuk immediately agrees to an 8 year deal with the team thereafter.
It gives us the possibility to acquire more assets and gives the other team one year to figure out the cap.
I also agree with many of the posters here, Mercer and Holtz would be somewhat acceptable. Losing a player like Chucky though sucks though.
