The Islanders lost Tavares and thought the world was coming to an end. They made the playoffs the next year.

I agree, this team is still a bubble team. Way behind the powerhouses in the conference (Avs, Blues, Oilers) but in the mix with about 8 other teams for the final 5 playoff spots. I think we have enough talent to be a bubble team for another couple years.
