Guess what I'm saying is that you don't need to let your favorite musical genre be your external front. Hating JTs music is one thing, but I went and read your post and it sounds to me like you hate the guy's success. You can't hate the guy's music because you don't like how it was manufactured. You either like the music or you don't. Hate the artist and the art, but you can't hate the one because of the other. |
good post. I'm kind of in the same boat as you. my ipod used to be 100% rock, and now it's about half. I can't stand listening to CJ92 anymore. Every other song is by some band named "Default Theory of a Creed-ickleback" and they all sound the same to me. that coupled with #####in Jerry Forbes, and I feel nautious on the drive in to work.
if you haven't listened to CJSW (campus radio, 90.9 FM), you should check them out. it's a different genre every couple hours, plus jazz shows every weekday morning. good stuff.
some people just hate pop music, and that's fine. but these "music elitists" that call other people morons because of their taste in music are ignorant, which is sadly ironic.
