Tkachuk signed a 3yr ELC, then a 3 year bridge deal for $7MM AAV that was backloaded in his favor. Now instead of negotiating his final year or negotiating an extension, he's demanding a trade and saying he won't play his final year here. That is a dick move.
Flames are supposed to have him for 7 years -- he says nah brah, you get me for 6, with some trading power. People here are congratulating him for how honest he is, when really he is screwing the team hard.
Gaudreau gave up two years of UFA status and signed a very team friendly deal. People continue to #### on him.
