These players should be actively seeking extensions in Calgary, not leaving. This off-season has been nothing short of embarrassing and disastrous.
We really need to take a step back as an organization and re-build an approach as to how to make this organization, and location, more desirable for players. If it's as simple as a new arena, then that should be the focus.
This active departure of key players needs to stop. We can't compare socially to the likes of American markets or those of Toronto/Montreal/Vancouver, but there's so many other things we can look at that can be marketed as such. This city can be a destination with the right organizational philosophy, commitment and market strategy.
