Someone like Tkachuk ought to be able to fetch you a top 6 roster player, a top prospect and a 1st round pick...
it would help if the team allowed other teams to talk to Tkachuk beforehand to see if he would sign longterm however. This is a bit of a gambit, but has been done before I believe with Stone and Vegas.
