Do the Flames make this a hockey trade and move out multiple bodies and bring in a number of young players, then compliment them with a couple veterans through free agency?
To New Jersey: Tkachuk and Hanifin
To Calgary: Bratt, Holtz, Mercer, unprotected 1st
Then sign two free agents like Kadri and Klingberg to fill the gaps and increase depth. Still have to dump Lucic's cap hit to make it work, and possibly one of Monahan or Backlund. Would allow our guys from the minors to step in as well, letting Pelletier and Ruzicka play bigger roles.
