For a star like Tkachuk, you SET your price. Ottawa set their price for Stone. Buffalo set their price for Eichel. 3 young assets is the MINIMUM price for a power forward (very rare these days) who scored over 100 points, and is only 24. If you let other teams determine the value of your players, you get Feaster-like returns for your franchise players. Burke and other GM's talk about this all the time, it's standard practice.
