Maybe as a cyclist you can explain this to me, since it seemed like I was in the wrong according to the guy.
Downtown, single lane each way, I'm approaching an intersection and about to turn right (but going slowly as there is traffic) on a green. A cyclist comes up the right side of my vehicle and as I'm turning has to swerve around my car to barely avoid me turning into him (he was going straight through the intersection) as I hit the brakes. Of course I got the full middle finger and everything but I was pretty sure I was not the ####### here.
If I'm riding downtown (not in a bike lane) I'm treating myself like part of traffic and sticking to the left if I'm going straight. It seems idiotic to go around vehicles to the right. Y/N?
