I think the top 2 spots would be New Jersey or St.Louis. The Jersey GM is a family member of Tkachuk and he is right with Hughes. St.Louis is obviously home.
Blues won’t be trading Thomas who just inked an 8 year extension last week. Kyrou definitely would be a piece that would be included. The Blues could ship Tarasenko to the Islanders to free up space or include O’Rielly in the deal since he has no trade protection and is in the last year of his contract. It also opens up the C for the Blues who may want to give that to Tkachuk. The Devils would likely include their own RFA headache in the deal in Bratt plus some of their rosiest capital. I wonder if there would be a chance if they would send their captain here as Hischier would be a nice get for Calgary. Hischier+Bratt for Tkachuk+Monahan/Backlund?
