It's getting a little depressing for sure. Us fans could really use a win right about now. An extension for Tkachuk would be ideal and immediately dispel the doom and gloom assumption that stars don't want to play here. A homerun trade involving Tkachuk would also be a nice consolation prize for this offseason... But a Dion Phaneuf style trade seems more likely at this point.
