Chicago traded two players this off season. They let a bunch of value guys walk for nothing. Which is fine.
I’m fine with moving Tkachuk for a pick in 2023 over one in 2022. Also allows you to find a better value deal instead of rushing the trade.

But yes, trade Tkachuk to highest bidder, use cap space to recover assets, suck a year or two, hope to draft franchise players.
