What's the indicator for Tkachuk looking for a short term deal (and what are you defining as short term)? If it's 4 years I think that's perfect. I don't want any player locked up greater than 5 years when they're not a franchise player. That's me personally. I wasn't happy that we didn't get assets for Gaudreau but an 8 year deal is a tough pill to swallow. If Tkachuk wants a 4 year deal @ $10M, sign him and deal him at the draft.
