The agent has a history of last minute, so you would have to just accept the fact that nothing will happen until the last possible minute or just panic and move his rights at the draft.

Not to mention I fail to see what practical difference this could have possibly made. BT overrides instructions from ownership to sign star up til last minute to read Gaudreau's mind somehow and realize that there's 0% chance he's signing here. Then, what, we get a fourth rounder for him at this years draft? Maybe? yay? A fourth rounder is the difference between BT being a great GM and a bum?
