IF he signs an offer sheet, I think that would make life easy for Treliving and us. If it’s ridiculous you take the 4 first round picks. If it’s a reasonable number you match and now have him signed for a good length of time.

Could an offer sheet just be a short term contract though? A team might offer a 1 or 2 year deal with a really high salary, especially if the team has already talked about an extension while negotiating the offer sheet. I think that is what Carolina did with Kotkaniemi.
