Yeah, if he wants out of Calgary, his best move would be to demand a trade and give Treliving a list of teams he'd be willing to sign with long-term.
There's no reason for him to stay here for one more year if he'd rather be gone now.
As has been mentioned many times, he's not likely to repeat his points total from last season, especially without Gaudreau, so his best move is to lock in the big money long-term now -- whether that's here or somewhere else.
