Our empty oceans: Scots team’s research finds Atlantic plankton all but wiped out in catastrophic loss of life

We're ####ed. 50-80% of our oxygen comes from the oceans, specifically plankton. They're also the bottom of the food chain.

Also: "Fun fact, in the movie Soylent Green the plankton in the oceans died off, which is what forced the government to start making Soylent Green."
