When a 12 yar employee can't be honest and gives no notice simply walks out thats no different and even worse. Glencross was traded to washington and sucked. We traded a late pick was it to get Bouwmeesters rights to sign him. We didn't have the money to sign Brodie at the time. Tavares is a great example and is roundly boooed when hes in Long Island.
It's how Guadreau did this and why to a big extent that stinks. Period. Its all about Johnny and never mind the fans and advertisers that pay him. I don't recall any one signing his wife, with all due respect.
BTW my son just GAVE NOTICE where he works after 8 years and they want him to stay and for the two weeks and keep working for them ( concrete cutter ).
Remarkable the difference it makes.

None of that has anything to do with my post or the one I responded to, nor is it even relevant. No one was “giving notice” here and no one was mailing it in. Gaudreau was being asked to sign a new deal - that’s all. He can decide do do it or not, and he can ask his wife to weigh in if he wants (or even let her pick if he wants).
The Flames didn’t sign his wife, true. And she didn’t play for them or get paid by them. That’s irrelevant, and so is the story about your kid (which, BTW, is not some sort of unusual story - you are supposed to give notice and continue working during the notice period).
