Debrincat who is in a very similar situation to Tkachuk from a contract perspective just got

7th overall pick
2nd round pick
3rd round pick

So that's probably your starting point for a Tkachuk deal.

Debrincat: 24 years old (Dec 18 1997) - GP: 368 G: 160 G/GP: 0.43 P: 307 P/GP: 0.83

Tkachuk: 24 years old (Dec 11 1997) - GP: 431 G: 152 G/GP: 0.35 P: 382 P/GP: 0.88

I'm not sure you're ever going to find a more direct comparison in a trade than that. Hell they are born 7 days apart even. Debrincat is actually in a better contract situation because it's more like Tkachuk last year. He has 1 year at $6.4M, before he needs to be qualified at $9M next year and that would take him right to UFA.
