Columbus is not going to be a real contender for the Stanley Cup with Gaudreau as their leader. Flames only had (and still have) a chance because of Sutter. But maybe they really didn’t.
Gaudreau won’t stir the drink for a championship team. Deep down he knows that.
There would be a lot more focus on him if he signed with NJ than Columbus. Literally no one cares about the Blue Jackets.
