The contract he signed is panicky and sloppy. No signing bonus, no frontloading.

He wouldn't be the first free agent to over play his hand. I suspect the list of possible teams wasn't very long. But perhaps it's also a sign of a less experienced agent at the helm. I think someone posted that he doesn't have a lot of big clients.
