There can be internal growth too. Columbus has some real good young players in Johnson, Sillinger, Boqvist, Texier, Bemstrom, Foudy, and Chinakov and they will be getting better with more experience and will improve the team.
I could easily see them in a battle with Washington and Pittsburgh for a spot as those teams get older. They are likely better than NJ, NYI, and Philly.

Like 20 points back, and the Sens have drastically improved if someone in the top eight is gonna be knocked out of a wildcard.
