It’s not that simple and they were already in 10th place last year.
Teams can fluctuate +\- 10 points year to year on pure luck alone.
There can be internal growth too. Columbus has some real good young players in Johnson, Sillinger, Boqvist, Texier, Bemstrom, Foudy, and Chinakov and they will be getting better with more experience and will improve the team.
I could easily see them in a battle with Washington and Pittsburgh for a spot as those teams get older. They are likely better than NJ, NYI, and Philly.
