If that story is true then good for Edwards for being basically given an ultimatum and still rising above that type of demand and matching. That would have taken a bit of willpower as well. Usually most people, especially Edwards I’m sure, don’t take well to ultimatums.
That is wild he would walk if they matched. Yikes, maybe the most poorly handled UFA situation of all time (by player?)?
You can completely understand why Edwards and Flames brass would be exasperated, frustrated and upset.
