Don't get me wrong, this really sucks for the team going forward, but it isn't JG's job to make sure the franchise is set up. He fulfilled 2 contracts and wanted to try something new. It's sad, but I don't think it was malicious.

I absolutely hate that narrative. Its managements fault when he says he wants to be here, waits until the 11th hour to say he doesnt and then picks a location that he takes less money and is not a contender.
I blame Tree 0% on this. Gave the most dollars and term, probably to our detriment, and he takes the blame for this?
Anyone who says we should have traded him a year before is so fantastically out of their mind on the fact they didnt care about our playoffs last season, or that what we got back made us a better team. This is all on Johnny, John, Gyppy or whatever u want to call him.
