People have to stop taking his decision personally. He wanted a change. He was with the Flames for a decade and I can't recall the last time I stayed on one thing for a decade.
Don't get me wrong, this really sucks for the team going forward, but it isn't JG's job to make sure the franchise is set up. He fulfilled 2 contracts and wanted to try something new. It's sad, but I don't think it was malicious.
Blame management if anything for not being able to connect the dots earlier or burying their heads in the sand.
