If you bring in Nyquist for a late pick from CBJ and JVR from the Flyers for a late pick than if the team is not highly competitive at the trade deadline you can move out Tarasenko, Nyquist, and JVR at 50% retained along with Toffoli and Tanev and end up with possibly five more first round picks in 2013.
Gives the team a shot at competing for Sutters last year and gives a foundation for a rebuild/retool after the season. Granted they will be top third draft picks, but they all have value.

Why the hell would we trade Tkachuk for an old winger a late 1st and a middling prospect?
