At the end of the day, I'm now less disappointed in the Flames for losing Johnny, and I'm more disappointed in Johnny for apparently not being the player that would have wanted to leave a legacy of success on the ice. I'm not going to hold it against him that he wants to go chill with some friends in a low pressure environment where nobody will care about how he plays, but I definitely lost respect for him as a competitor. He's a great talent, but he does not have the heart of a champion. Glad he gave us some fun memories before going into his well-payed semi-retirement.
