Sorry to hear that Cap'n. Best wishes for a speedy recovery. I haven't any direct experience, but some family members of mine have had to take warfarin.
In my family it was a case of keeping all the knives in the house sharp (less chance of slipping and cutting yourself), making sure everyone knows basic first aid in case of a bleeding episode, stashing band aids around the house and occasionally running grandpa to the PLC for a shot of vitamin K.
You'll want to avoid aspirin (ASA) and any other medications that contain salicylates. Watch out for Pepto Bismol.
Also, grapefruit juice. It can increase the impact of your blood thinners.
