Anyway people suggesting family or wife influence are wrong. Johnny never really wanted to be here. Yeah sure I think he liked Calgary more than he thought he would and I'm sure he has a softspot for the city but his heart was always back home. Tonnes of examples of that, it was clear from Day 1. Might be tough for people to hear but this wasn't nefarious people whispering in his ear, johnny made the decision on his own. The Flames were his safety school/side chick during this whole process, time to accept it and move on. I'm personally excited for a rebuild where we can acquire some high end corn fed Western Canadian studs like me that actually wanna be here!

This fallacy has to go away. Anywhere in NY, NJ, Cali, Penn are taxed more heavily than anywhere in Alberta. I'll give you the cold winter and small locations but quit with the tax stuff.
