That does not seem to happen to other teams who lose major UFA's does it? Maybe a set-back resulting in a re-tool but not a total tear-down?

NYI - I think it was a blessing in disguise when Tavares left at least temporarily, when Barzal got more ice, etc. Unfortunately there isn't something similar here.
Columbus lost Panarin. What did they do? They sorta rebuilt by moving stuff around but it wasn't a teardown - they acquired Laine, Roslovic and a bunch of other middling guys. No one really cared because they sucked anyway.
