I think the point would be more to declare that a subset of the fans would be ok with enduring some losing seasons for reset.
All of this year it down talk though ignores the most important factor going for the Flames, before, with, and after Gaudreau: Darryl Sutter.
The chances this team gets another coach that good, maybe ever, is low. And this coach doesn’t need many stars to win big.
